Learning Core

Mission

CEIR’s Learning Core mission is to develop, administer, and promote training opportunities in implementation science and program evaluation best practices; coordinate training placements related to applied implementation science methods; and develop training resources to disseminate best-practice guidance to the field.

Learning Opportunities

  • Evaluation Bootcamp: a virtual, time-limited training focusing on strategic thinking and best practices to support the creation and management of high-quality evaluation projects. Learners are trained in skills related to support the development, planning, and implementation of rigorous evaluations to position their programs for growth, expansion, and refinement.   • QUERI Implementation Mentorship Core Mentee Forum: a monthly forum session for early-career investigators affiliated with QUERI centers which focuses on practical considerations related to implementation science research. Mentee training is supported both through the monthly forum session as well as through the use of a Community of Practice Teams page.

  • Consultations on training opportunities in applied implementation science best practices provided by the QUERI Learning Hubs (Implementation Strategy Learning Opportunities). CEIR supports trainings by meeting with potential learners and facilitating referrals based on learner needs. Contact CEIR@va.gov for more information.   • Evaluation Community of Practice is a monthly didactic session designed to foster a collaborative environment, where experts can share program evaluation best practices and recommendations, provide resources related to conducting evaluations in VA, and consult and collaborate with peers in the field.
