Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation Early-Career Technical Assistance Workshop

On December 10-13, 2023, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and AcademyHealth will cohost the 16th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) in Arlington, VA. QUERI is excited to help organize a VA investigator panel celebrating QUERI’s 25th anniversary and the Early-Career Technical Assistance Workshop.

The Novel Approaches to Addressing Health System and Policy Challenges: 25 Years of the VA QUERI Program will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2:30-3:45pm. Since 1998, QUERI has been committed to partnering with health system leaders and policymakers, providers, and Veterans to scale-up, spread, and sustain evidence-based practices across the VA healthcare system. As QUERI celebrates its 25th anniversary, this panel session will highlight how QUERI-funded interdisciplinary teams are leveraging innovative methods and adaptive evaluation designs to address time-sensitive healthcare and policy priorities and to accelerate sustainable, care improvements. This session will be chaired by JoAnn Kirchner, MD, part of QUERI’s Implementation Facilitation Learning Hub and is a core investigator with HSR’s Center for Mental Healthcare and Outcomes Research (CeMHOR), North Little Rock, AR.


In addition, QUERI’s Center for Evaluation and Implementation Resources (CEIR) is organizing an Early-Career Technical Assistance Workshop for early career investigators and staff interested in implementation science, will be held on Wednesday, December 13th from 1:00-5:00pm. The Workshop includes:

  • Presentations on funding opportunities related to D&I,
  • Best-practice D&I methods recommendations from experts, and
  • Discussions of practical considerations for early career investigators and staff interested in dissemination and implementation science.
